Ceramics

De Ceramics committee was founded in 2006 and organises specific activities in the field of Asian ceramics.

We try to visit a collector every year, as well as a dealer and  every last weekend in September we organise a specimen meeting in Amsterdam, where members may bring an object from their collection to discuss amongst the other members. Members may also hold a presentation about an object from their collection. The specimen meeting is always joined with one or more lectures connected to Asian ceramics in its broadest sense.

The last two years we also visited a ceramics restorer.

We also paid a visit to studio potter Marjoke de Heer who told us about her visit to Japanse kilns and told us about her own work.
